The purpose of the Inpatient Department (IPD) module is to assist doctors and nurses in delivering care to hospitalized patients. The system will include a Doctor Station to manage IPD doctor activities and a Nurse Station to handle IPD nurse tasks. Common indoor services include IPD admission, bill generation, bed allocation, investigations, service requisitions, transfers, and patient discharge. Nurse Station Management 

This sub module will have the following functionalities: 

  • Ability to view and search the admitted patient list using specific criteria.
  • Option to receive patients along with their prescriptions.
  • View bed/cabin status (e.g., available or occupied) for bed transfer requests.
  • Ability to view and search the list of received patients.
  • Add vital information for patients.
  • View prescribed medications according to the doctor’s recommendations.
  • View recommended tests and carry them out as per the doctor's orders.
  • View prescribed services and execute them as per the doctor's orders.
  • View dietary instructions and implement them as per the doctor's orders.
  • View OT instructions and execute them as per the doctor’s orders.
  • View blood requisition requests and fulfil them as per the doctor’s orders.
  • The nurse can provide the requisition (medicine, store and others requisition)
  • Based on access Edit/Update, Approve, & receive accordingly along with print facility.
  • Patient ward/bed transfer facility.
  • Options to work for discharge patients as per doctor’s order and print related documents.

Doctor Station Management 

This sub module will have the following functionalities: 

  • View and search the admitted patient list.
  • Prescribe and treatment given to the indoor patient and that data should be integrated with all departments and must be reflect in Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Operation Theatre Management 

The OT process will be carried out according to the doctor’s instructions. The purpose of the Operation Theatres module is to support patients requiring surgical procedures. The system will cover the following key functionalities: 

  • Facility to get doctor’s instruction.
  • OT Requisition list view.
  • OT Requisition Approval.
  • Send for approval to the Pre-Anesthesia check-up Unit.
  • Cross-checking patient condition and detail entry by Pre-Anesthesia check-up unit.
  • Take action according to the instructions from the Pre-Anesthesia check-up unit.
  • Taking consent from the patient.
  • Generate OT Schedule.
  • Send patient for OT Execution.
  • Detail entry facility at operation theatre:

  • Doctor will be able to give discharge instruction

  • Facility to prepare discharge summary.
  • Prepare and Issue discharge certificate.
  • Prepare and Issue death certificate.
  • Based on the financial clearance, can discharge the patient along with providing the printed documents like: Discharge Summary & Certificate and Death Certificate.
  • Draft and approval options for Discharge Summary & Certificate and Death Certificate.
  • Doctor can view the discharged patient list.
  • Discharge Patient reverse facility.

Death Registration
