Hospital Automation Solution

The objective of this module is to streamline the billing process by utilizing Patient IDs through barcode scanning, automate the population of investigation data from prescriptions, print label stickers with barcodes for tracking patient sample tubes/containers, and ensure the timely transfer of collected samples to the laboratory for testing. Additionally, it includes mapping collected samples through Medical Device Integration (MDI) to generate test data, using automated templates for preparing, verifying, and finalizing investigation reports, and expediting the dispatch and delivery of reports to patients. The Laboratory/Pathology module will offer the following functionalities: 

  • Process for Sample Collection
  1. Scan invoice/input the invoice number to retrieve the patient’s investigation details. 
  2. Option to collect test sample and print barcodes that include a unique LAB ID. 
  • Process for Receive Sample at Laboratory/Pathology
  1. Users will be able to filter & view list of collected samples pending for LAB receipt. 
  2. Users will be able to receive samples from the pending list. 
  • Process for Laboratory Report Preparation
  1. If the system is integrated with the machine via Machine Device Integration (MDI) for any specific test, the result will be automatically entered. However, users should have the option to modify the result if needed. 
  2. If the machine is not integrated, users will manually input the result. 
  3. Reference range generate in report automatically 
  4. The system will allow a designated user to verify and finalize the result for report preparation, viewing, and printing purposes. 
  • Report Delivery:
  1. Receive the report from the lab. 
  2. The received lab report can be delivered to the patient upon payment confirmation. 
  3. The system will provide filtering options to view pending lab reports, reports delivered to patients, and reports pending for delivery to patients. 
  • The system will be integrated with the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • The system will support integration with laboratory machines via Machine Device Integration (MDI).
  • Additional features which is the part of above mentioned process:
  1. Tracking of patient samples. 
  2. Urgent reports are highlighted with a colored frame for easy recognition. 
  3. Streamlined worklist management to eliminate the need for slip-writing or extra book-keeping within the lab. 
  4. Critical result alerts, reagent consumption tracking, and graphical representation of results. 
  5. Management of exam lifecycle, including sample re-collection, re-testing, and worklist generation based on user level or group. 
  6. Covered departments through this solution like: Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Serology, Microbiology, Histopathology, Cytopathology, Molecular Biology, Cytogenetic, Immunology, Hematology etc. 
  7. The system is designed to be fully interoperable with all departments, ensuring seamless communication and providing an efficient mechanism for doctors to view reports during patient treatment.
